A forum to discuss rare and antiquarian military books. General musings & commentary on the same. Interesting tid-bits from the rare book trade related to military books, and anything else I can think of that might be of interest. Will most likely include commentary on what I am reading, what I have read, and what I hope to read. You can also provide any comments as I conclude writing my annotated bibliography on the Mesopotamian Campaign. Feedback is welcome!
Hallo! My name is Anna and I am from Russia. Sorry for my English. I found your blog, because you have a rare book in your library, that we can't find. This book is "The guests of the unspeakable". My grandmother Galina Genko(Henko) collects information about our ancestors. She knew that in this book one of her uncles is mentioned. When sir T.W.White escaped from captivity to Odessa, he met there two russian officers. One of them - Eugenij fon Henko (I don't know if the transcription is correct) - her uncle. This is the only information about this member of our family we have. His brother, my grandgrandfather, the expert in Caucasion nations, was repressed by Stalin and died in prison, and my grandmother wants to know what happened to other members of the family. That's why I beg you for help. Maybe it would be possible to you to scan this place in the book and send to our e-mail. We would be grateful and maybe we could help you with something too.
